About

Gleb Stroganov

I'm a design engineer at Evil Martians. A decade chasing one question: how do you design tools developers don't quit by day three?

That question pulled me through developer IDEs, no-code platforms, canvas editors, and node-based workflow builders. When vibe coding arrived I was one of the first designers on the team to try it — now I ship design and code on one screen with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Zed, and I've shipped several production-ready products this way. The terminal became my friend, not an enemy. Real components and their look-and-feel live in Storybook. I'm growing my own design tool. Bolt is the reach for when a prototype has to ship in a day.

The good tools assume their user is smart. Everything I build starts there.

Most recently I built AgentPrism — an open-source React library that turns agent traces into visual debuggers. Tree views, timelines, sequence diagrams. Quotient AI runs it in production. Debug time: four hours down to thirty seconds.

Before that I designed Miru, a graph-native cybersecurity investigation platform — zero to working MVP in seven months, design and frontend end-to-end. And shipped the GMI Cloud redesign — 12 pages, 3D visuals, 3.5 weeks.

Open source: I co-created Harmony — OKLCH palettes with APCA contrast, now installed across the Figma community.

Off the clock, I'm a music lover — I collect vinyl, catch live shows and festivals, and play everything from bass guitar to modular synths. If there's a festival in town, I'll be there; between sets, I'm digging for records.

What I do

  • Dev-tool UX

A decade making developer tools that get used, not abandoned.

Two pattern chronicles on evilmartians.com, plus the shipped products in this list.

  • AI agent observability

Making agent traces legible. Making debug surfaces fast.

AgentPrism: 4 hours of debugging down to 30 seconds.

  • Design + frontend, end-to-end

Most designers who code stop at prototypes. I ship production.

Miru 0 to MVP in 7 months. GMI Cloud in 3.5 weeks.

  • AI-augmented delivery

Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Zed in the toolchain. Real components in Storybook, Bolt for fast prototypes. The terminal is the workshop now.

Production prototypes, not demos. Weeks, not months.

  • Color and accessibility

OKLCH palettes with APCA contrast, baked into design tokens.

Harmony — installed in design files across the Figma community.

  • Communicating the craft

Pattern catalogs, dev-tool UX writing, conference talks.

Years of writing on evilmartians.com — not a dropped Substack.
